Advanced Cosmetic Services

Brandon Dermatology’s Aesthetic services combine the best technology, professionals, personalized attention, and recommendations to have you looking your best. We offer a range of cutting-edge treatments designed to rejuvenate and enhance your skin.

Morpheus8: Skin Tightening and Fat Remodeling

Morpheus8 is the newest technology for skin tightening and fat remodeling. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew the deeper layers of the skin with almost no patient downtime. Combining Micro-Needling with Radio Frequency technology delivers RF energy deep within the skin, stimulating collagen. This process reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and texture, and tightens the skin from within.

  • Benefits: Minimal downtime with magnificent results.
  • Recovery: Approximately two days with minimal swelling and tiny red dots. Normal activities and makeup can be resumed after two days.
  • Treatment Areas: Morpheus8 tightens skin on all parts of the face, including the forehead, eyelids, cheeks, lower face, jawline, and neck. It can also be used on the abdomen, thighs, legs, and buttocks.
  • Results: Visible results can be seen within a few days, with most noticeable results appearing after three weeks.
  • Depth of Treatment: For the face, Morpheus8 delivers RF at depths between 1-4mm, while for the body, it can go as deep as 7mm.

The Thread Face Lift

The Thread Face Lift uses a series of microfilaments or threads placed in strategic areas to lift eyebrows, cheeks, jawline, and neck. The threads lift, support, volumize, tighten, or contour your skin depending on the selected thread type and insertion position. The body naturally reacts to the threads, producing collagen growth over time. The lifting action continues as the threads gradually dissolve in approximately six months.

  • Mechanism: Threads work daily to lift, volumize, tighten, and contour.
  • Immediate Results: Some results are noticeable immediately after insertion.
  • Long-Term Results: Collagen production enhances natural-looking results, with maximum effects seen around the 4-month range.
  • Duration of Results: Results can last from 12 to 18 months, sometimes longer.
  • Recovery: Potential discomfort and bruising in the first 3-4 days, resolving within about a week.
  • Comparison: Unlike a facelift, you will still look like yourself, only better, and can return to your normal lifestyle in a few days.

Laser Treatments

Laser treatments use energy beams that penetrate the skin to remove old and damaged skin cells. This process triggers the skin to naturally build new, healthy cells and stimulates the production of new collagen deep in the skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

  • Benefits: A more youthful skin appearance, improved tone, and smoother texture after one treatment.
  • Collagen Regeneration: Deep micro pulses stimulate collagen regeneration, restoring the supporting structure and dermal layer of the skin over time, providing continuing results for months.
  • Post-Treatment Sensation: Skin may feel warm and slightly red, similar to a sunburn.
  • Treatment Time: The entire face can be treated in less than 30 minutes.

Photo Rejuvenation

Photo Rejuvenation is designed to combat skin damage in a gentler way, addressing fine lines, age spots, and sun damage. Advanced, intense, pulsed light and fluorescent pulsed light systems are the latest innovations in non-ablative cosmetic skin rejuvenation.

  • Technology: Palomar Systems use specialized handpieces that filter light for different treatments, such as sunspot removal and vessel clearance.
  • Mechanism: Palomar RejuveLux handpieces emit pulses of light into the skin. Sunspot pigment and visible vessels absorb the light, which is converted to heat.
  • Treatment Window: Palomar Pulsed Light systems use a much larger treatment window than most lasers.
  • Applicable Areas: Most areas, except directly around the eyes.
  • Post-Treatment Sensation: Expect a mild sunburn-like sensation, possibly with mild swelling.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that blocks nerve impulses and temporarily relaxes muscles responsible for wrinkles. It prevents facial muscles from contracting, allowing them to relax and leaving the skin smoother and unwrinkled. BOTOX® Cosmetic offers extended relief for the visible signs of stress and aging.

  • Onset of Effects: Visible within 3-5 days.
  • Duration of Results: Typically lasts 3 to 5 months, varying by individual.
  • Administration: Injected into specific muscles using an ultra-fine needle.
  • Comfort: Minimally uncomfortable, with no anesthetic necessary; discomfort is often compared to a bug bite.
  • Downtime: No downtime; patients can return to regular activities immediately.
  • Availability: Available only to licensed physicians.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gels injected under the skin to restore volume and fullness, correcting moderate to severe facial wrinkles, creases, and folds. The improvement in your skin’s appearance is immediate.

  • Duration of Results: Can last up to six months to a year or more, depending on factors like lifestyle, age, and skin structure.
  • Administration: Administered through a series of injections directly into the skin using an ultrafine needle.
  • Radiesse® Dermal Filler: Made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. It provides immediate volume and stimulates new collagen production over time (collagenesis). Radiesse® is ideal for total facial contouring, helping to restore a youthful appearance and enhance features without invasive surgery. It is biocompatible, clinically tested, and has received CE mark certification and FDA approvals/clearances. Treatment is simple and convenient, often performable during a lunch break, with results lasting up to a year or more. It is used to fill wrinkles and enhance lips, particularly effective for lines around the mouth and nose.
  • Hyaluronic Acid Fillers: Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring component that fills the spaces between collagen and elastin fibers. As we age, loss of hyaluronic acid can lead to wrinkles and hollows. These fillers can be smoothed or sculpted after injection, resulting in attractive, natural-looking outcomes. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
