The Benefits and Uses of Facial Scrubs

Facial scrubs are a fantastic way to deeply care for your skin and give it a fresh look. They help remove dead skin cells and promote skin renewal.

Enhanced Skin Renewal

Facial scrubs stimulate cell production, leading to faster skin renewal.

Reduction of Skin Imperfections

Regular scrubs can help reduce pimples, blackheads, and other blemishes. By clearing out dirt and excess oil from your pores, your skin appears much clearer and fresher.

Types of Facial Scrubs

There are various types of facial scrubs that differ in texture, ingredients, and intensity to cater to different skin needs. Generally, scrubs are categorized into mechanical and chemical types.

Mechanical Scrubs

Mechanical scrubs contain small particles that physically scrub the skin. They are great for achieving instantly smooth skin.

Many traditional mechanical scrubs use coarse exfoliating particles like crushed nut shells or fruit pits, which can be too harsh if used too often.

The VINOBLE COSMETICS cleansing scrub is particularly gentle on the skin thanks to its natural exfoliating particles from jojoba beads and rice. It’s excellent for sensitive skin, combining mild cleansing with gentle exfoliation and is 100% fragrance-free.

Enzyme Scrubs

Enzyme scrubs use natural enzymes, usually from fruits like papaya or pineapple, to gently remove dead skin cells. This type of peel is especially gentle and helps smooth the skin without causing irritation.

Our enzyme scrub uses papaya enzymes to thoroughly cleanse your skin and make it more receptive.

Fruit Acid Peels (AHA Peels)

Fruit acid peels, also known as AHA peels, use acids from fruits to renew the skin. They penetrate deeper into the skin and promote cell turnover.

After using this type of peel, it's crucial to apply sunscreen since the skin becomes more sensitive to UV rays.

With nine percent fruit acid, our VINOBLE COSMETICS fruit acid peel provides an intensive facial treatment for a fresh complexion and clearer skin. Thanks to the combination of lactic and tartaric acids, this scrub is particularly well-tolerated even with skin irritations, supporting the natural regeneration process.

How to Use a Facial Scrub

Before applying a facial scrub, thoroughly cleanse your skin. You can open your pores further with warm steam or a warm compress to prepare your skin for the treatment.

Then, apply the scrub evenly to your face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Gently massage the scrub in circular motions to remove dead skin cells. After the recommended time, rinse off the scrub with lukewarm water and a washing glove.

Since your skin, especially after chemical peels like our enzyme scrub and fruit acid peel, may be red, we recommend applying these scrubs in the evening.

Frequency of Use

Regarding frequency, most skin types can handle a scrub once or twice a week.

Every day, our skin protects us from the outside world. This constant battle against the elements puts our epidermis to the test, forcing its continual renewal. For this physiological mechanism to function properly and to ensure your skin looks bright all year long, exfoliating is a must.

Every day, we lose almost 1 million skin cells. While most of this “dead skin” is eliminated naturally, some gets mixed with sebum and accumulates on the skin’s surface. The look of the epidermis gets dull, and imperfections like blackheads or pimples can start to appear.

To offer your skin the very best, Laboratoires de Biarritz developed a Radiance Scrub for the face. Its formula, with Sugar Kelp (Laminaria saccharina), moisturizes, relieves feelings of tightness & itchiness, and activates microcirculation. The combination of Organic Aloe vera and Organic jojoba oil moisturizes, protects, and soothes the skin - all while strengthening the acid mantle.

Mechanical exfoliators: coconut shell powder and castor wax provide a gentle yet deep scrub, safe for the skin and its environment for optimal cellular renewal.

We recommend using our Scrub once or twice per week. If your skin tends to be oily, no more than once a week; for normal or dry skin, up to twice a week.

Apply your Face Radiance Scrub on the face, neck, and chest skin cleansed beforehand, and avoid the area around the eyes. Take the time to exfoliate each area with gentle, repeated gestures for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with fresh water and dry with a clean towel.
