Reshad Jones: A Journey Through Professional Football and Wrestling

Reshad Monquez Jones (born February 25, 1988) is an American former professional football player who notably played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL). His career path also includes experiences in professional wrestling under a different moniker.

Early Life and Football Career Beginnings

Reshad Jones was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended Booker T. Washington High School. During his senior year, he earned significant accolades, including AAAA All-State honors and the Defensive Player of the Year award from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Sports Writers Association. He was recognized as the top safety in the country by PrepStar 100 and Rivals Top 100.

Jones played college football at the University of Georgia, where he was a three-year letterman and a two-year starter for the Georgia Bulldogs. In his college career, he played in 39 games, starting 27, and accumulated 206 tackles (129 solo), with 10 stops for losses. He also demonstrated ball-hawking abilities, batting away 13 passes and intercepting 11 for 174 yards. Transition to the NFL and Miami Dolphins Stint

On January 4, 2010, Jones announced his decision to forgo his senior season at Georgia and enter the 2010 NFL draft, where he was projected to be a second-round pick. He participated in the NFL Scouting Combine, performing well in various drills, including the bench press and vertical jump. He also improved his times at Georgia's pro day.

Jones was linked to the Miami Dolphins early in the pre-draft process. He was ultimately selected by the Dolphins and made his professional regular-season debut in their season-opening victory against the Buffalo Bills. Throughout his tenure with the Dolphins, Jones experienced various roles, including starting safety, and faced challenges such as knee injuries that led to missed games. He recorded his first career sack and interception in a game against the Tennessee Titans. Jones also earned his first career start at free safety due to an injury to a teammate.

In subsequent seasons, Jones continued to be a key player for the Dolphins. He recorded a season-high 12 combined tackles in a game against the New England Patriots and consistently contributed with tackles, sacks, and pass deflections. He was a starter for much of his career, demonstrating his importance to the team's defense. In 2013, he recorded a 25-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens. The following season, he was suspended for four games for violating the league's PED policy.

Jones's performance in 2015 saw him collect eight combined tackles, a pass deflection, and a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Tennessee Titans. He also had a 23-yard interception return for a touchdown against the Houston Texans. In a game against the Philadelphia Eagles, he recorded nine combined tackles, a pass deflection, a sack, and an interception. In 2016, he collected 12 combined tackles in a game against the Seattle Seahawks and intercepted a pass from Ben Roethlisberger in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, though he later left that game with a torn rotator cuff.

In CZW, Sabian was a prominent member of the stable known as BLKOUT (or Blackout), which he formed with Ruckus. The group achieved significant success, winning the CZW World Tag Team Championship multiple times. Sabian also captured the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship and won the CZW Best of the Best tournament in 2008.
