Gold Collagen: Combating the Visible Signs of Skin Aging

With advancing age, the skin undergoes significant changes due to alterations in the metabolic processes of its structural components. These changes manifest as visible signs of aging, including increased dryness and the formation of wrinkles.

To address these concerns, the nutritional supplement Pure Gold Collagen® was developed. This supplement is formulated with a blend of hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and minerals, aiming to counteract the visible signs of aging.

Investigating the Effects of Pure Gold Collagen® on Skin Properties

An open-label study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of this nutritional supplement on various skin properties. The study involved daily supplementation with 50 mL of Pure Gold Collagen® over a period of 60 days.

Key Findings from the 60-Day Treatment Period

The results of the study indicated a noticeable reduction in skin dryness and wrinkles following the 60-day supplementation period. Furthermore, a significant increase in collagen density and skin firmness was observed after 12 weeks of treatment.

The data gathered from this research suggest that Pure Gold Collagen® can effectively counteract the signs associated with natural skin aging.

Specific Improvements in Nasolabial Fold Depth

The study also focused on the nasolabial fold depth, a common indicator of facial aging. Supplementation with Pure Gold Collagen® led to a reduction in the depth of these folds.

Quantitative Analysis of Nasolabial Fold Improvement

The results showed a significant improvement in the average score of nasolabial folds among 206 subjects, with a P-value of ≤0.001, indicating statistical significance. Specifically, 37% of the subjects (76 individuals) experienced a significant improvement in nasolabial fold depth, also with a P-value of ≤0.001.

Importantly, this decrease in nasolabial fold depth was observed in both subjects who underwent specific treatments for nasolabial folds and those who did not, suggesting a systemic effect of the supplement.

Measuring Changes in Collagen Density and Skin Firmness

Beyond visual improvements, the study also assessed objective measures of skin health, such as collagen density and firmness. Examples of collagen density measurements were taken in the left ventral forearm and the crow’s feet area around the left eye in different subjects.

The research documented an increase in skin firmness observed at both 80 and 130 days of treatment with Pure Gold Collagen®.
