Many skincare products, both drugstore and prestige, cross my desk, and I am a tough crowd, especially when it comes to my skincare. A couple of months ago, I got to preview L'Oréal Paris’s latest and greatest skincare launches. The presentation started like any other, and then they asked us to guess women’s top two skin concerns. The cleanser is amazing as it also gently exfoliates both manually (with volcanic particles) and chemically (with glycolic acid). The brand recommends using it morning and night, but my skin is sensitive, so when I tested the products, I only used it at night. I like to double cleanse: I’ll use an oil to take off all my makeup, and then this cleanser. You could totally just use this, but I find that doing a pre-cleanse helps the glycolic acid in this penetrate more deeply. I actually don’t like to wash my face in the morning; I have dry skin and find that if I give my skin a good cleanse the night before, splashing with water is just fine.
