Seamless Appointment Scheduling and Virtual Care
Forefront Dermatology respects your time and safety by offering an efficient online scheduling process. You can instantly book your preferred doctor, day, and time through a secure, three-factor authentication system, eliminating the need to call or wait on hold.
To minimize your time in the clinic, we encourage you to download and complete the relevant forms prior to your visit.
We also offer Teledermatology, an innovative way to receive dermatological diagnoses and treatment plans remotely. This service allows you to conduct a live video consultation via your smartphone, tablet, or laptop to address most skin concerns with your dermatologist.
For new patients, an online consultation may take slightly longer as it includes a discussion of your medications, allergies, medical history, and family history, in addition to current concerns. If you have multiple minor concerns, they may be addressed in a single visit. Accutane follow-ups can also be conducted via teledermatology, with prescriptions sent directly to your pharmacy.
The optimal setting for a teledermatology visit is a private, well-lit, quiet room, preferably facing a window to ensure proper lighting for the dermatologist's view. Sitting at a desk or table can help maintain stability during the call.
In some instances, your dermatologist may determine that an in-person evaluation is necessary following a teledermatology visit. If your insurance requires a referral for in-person specialist visits, one may also be needed for telemedicine consultations. Most major insurance companies cover telemedicine visits, often with no required co-pays or co-insurance. For uninsured new patients, the cost of a telederm consultation is $135. All video and audio communications during telehealth visits are encrypted for your privacy.

Patient and Staff Safety Measures
The health and safety of our patients and staff are of paramount importance. At our Waupaca, WI location, we adhere to state and local regulations to ensure a safe environment.
Masks are currently required for all patients within our clinic. We maintain stringent cleaning standards and have increased the frequency of disinfecting all surfaces. Social distancing is observed in our waiting room, and we utilize our parking lot as a temporary waiting area. Upon arrival, you will be contacted by phone or text when your doctor is ready to see you.
When scheduling appointments, we ask additional screening questions regarding recent travel, cough, or fever within the past 14 days. If you answer yes to any of these, we kindly request that you reschedule your appointment or opt for a teledermatology visit. We follow guidelines from trusted sources like the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to ensure comprehensive safety measures are in place.
